This year’s Java Developers’ Day will take place in theConference Center that is a part of Collegium Medicum in Krakow. The Center is located on 16, Lazarza street. It is a convenient location, just 10 minute walk from Main Market and 15 minutes from Main Railway Station.

JDD08 - the conference information

We want to invite all for Java Developers’ Day 2008! JDD is an annual conference that takes place in Krakow and gathers around 350 attendees. Third edition of the event will take place in October and is an opportunity to discuss best practices of Java design and programming.

Recent development in the area of Java programming language will be presented by the best specialist in the world. The organizers have proved that the quality of the presentations is their absolute priority. During the previous editions attendees had a chance to hear Bruce Eckel, the author of the most famous book about Java ever - Thinking in Java, as well as Bill Burke (the co-author of Enterprise Java Beans 3.0 from JBoss) and Jonas Bonner from Teracotta Inc. And this year’s agenda will be even better!

There will be not one, but two keynotes, both excellent experts. The firs talk will be delivered by Ted Neward, an independent consultant working for world’s biggest corporations. Ted specializes in high-scale enterprise systems. His interest include Java, .NET and XML service technologies, and especially Java-.NET interoperability. He is an author of several widely-recognized books including Effective Enterprise Java.

Neal Ford was also invited as JDD keynote speaker. He is Software Architect at Thought Works, a global IT consultancy with an exclusive focus on end-to-end software development and delivery. Neal wrote books such JBuilder 3 Unleashed end Art of Java Web Development.

More excellent experts from Poland and abroad is expected. Dividing the conference into two tracks allows to present even more interesting lectures about mobile technologies, Spring, JBoss, EJB, AJAX and OSGi, as well as the other recent developments in this field.

The conference should be attended by all developers creating innovative solutions written in the Java programming language, programmers, IT department management staff, as well as those just tinkering with the Java technology.
