    This based in Krakow company will merge with Warsaw company ABG S.A. In the beginning of IV quarter of 2008. ABG owns 100% shares in the company. The name of the company will be changed from DRQ to ABG. One of the aims of the merge was to rearrange and set in order the competencies in Asseco group. In the structures of ABG S.A. remain following sectors: agriculture, telecom, health care, power industry, municipal services, police and army. All former competences of DRQ will be now a part of Telecom Department (ABG S.A. Company)

    Specialized centers

    There are several centers rendering specialized services, which operate within IBM Polska and support company’s activities both in Poland and worldwide. The IBM Education Center started operations in 1996 in Warsaw, while year 2000 was marked by the establishment of one of the first Data Centers in Poland, designed to render outsourcing services. With a primary goal of supporting application development for the IBM products, the IBM Innovation Center has operated since 2003. A center offering business processes outsourcing (BTO) operates in Cracow, while the IBM’s Software Laboratory was launched in December, 2005. It’s the first center of this kind in the Central and Eastern Europe. Primary responsibilities of the center include designing and implementing software products.
